Transformer: A transformer is a passive component and it is various terminals. It is used to increase or decrease electrical energy in a circuit. transformer is working in principle of mutual inductance, which is transfer the electrical energy one circuit to another circuit. working in this method frequency and power does not change.
What is a transformer: Transformer is a passive component which is used to increase and decrease electrical energy in circuits.
Types of transformer: Two types of transformers in the electrical field.
1. Step up transformer: In this tranasformer, that is increased voltage primary to secondary windings. In that the secondary windings are more than primary winding. this transformer not in mostly used in circuits.
2. Step down transformer: In this transformer, the secondary windings are less than primary windings.that is decreased voltage in electrical field. This is mostly used in electrical circuits.
Basic parts of transformer: The two basic parts of transformer,
1.Core: The part where the transformer is rolled over the winding part, which is called the 1.Core: hold the both windings and complete the magnetic circuit,it is the cores main work in transformer. Core is available in various types.core is made in high silicon steel material.
2.Winding: On the transformers core, there are two windings.
1.Primary winding: Primary winding is the input winding of the transformer, for the electrical supply,it is called primary winding.
2.Secondary winding: It is the output winding of the transformer.it is connected to the load.called secondary winding.
Uses of a transformer: Mostly transformers are used in circuits,to devide a voltage high and low frequency. It is transfer to energy very cheap cost. it is very sufficient. There is no cost to maintain it.It is used to AC circuits.
Circuit symbol of transformer: This symbol to identify the transformer in the circuit.see below,
Working of the transformer: Transformer is work in the principle of mutual inductance.
In that the two coils are set in mutuals.and the one coil is connected to the AC voltage.this creates a changing magnetic field arround the coil.magnetic fields distortion lines crossed or cut the others side.because of that the secondary coil will create the voltage.to this attribute called mutual inductance.
